Professional-services website costs and scope
A useful website quote explains the pages, content, inquiry handling, migration and handover you receive. Branddirr's brochure website entry project starts at USD 2,500. This is our price, not a market-wide average. Compare the total scope and ongoing costs before choosing a supplier.

Start with the job the website must do
For an accounting practice, a prospective client may need to distinguish tax compliance, bookkeeping and advisory work. For a consultancy, they may need to understand a diagnostic engagement, implementation support and ongoing advice. A page count alone says little about how well the website answers those decisions.
Write down the services, buyer types, approved evidence and desired inquiry before asking for prices. Separate information you already have from work the supplier must create. A five-page website with finished copy is a different project from five pages requiring interviews, new positioning and complex integrations.
Compare Branddirr's existing project scopes
| Project | Starting fee (USD) | Published scope |
|---|---|---|
| Starter | 2,500 per project | 5-7 page brochure site, contact form, blog and basic SEO. |
| Growth | 5,000 per project | 10-20 pages, custom animations, CMS, speed and conversion tracking. |
| E-Commerce | 6,000 per project | Shopify or WooCommerce, product catalog and scoped commerce integrations. |
| SaaS / Custom App | 15,000 per project | Next.js, authentication, dashboards and scoped API integrations. |
These are starting prices from the current website service, not a fixed quote for every requirement. The Starter scope is often the relevant comparison for a small professional-services firm. E-commerce and custom applications solve different needs; more expensive does not automatically mean more appropriate.
All published Branddirr fees are USD. Confirm the invoicing currency, payment terms and applicable charges in the proposal. We do not publish fixed local-currency conversions because exchange rates change. Hosting, domains and third-party costs need their own lines in the comparison.
What changes a proposal?
- Content readiness: approved service copy, genuine team biographies and permission to use project evidence reduce uncertainty. Research, interviews and new content must be scoped.
- Migration: preserving existing URLs, redirects, search visibility and analytics requires an inventory and validation. Large or messy sites need more work than a fresh brochure site.
- Inquiry handling: a simple contact form differs from calendar booking, CRM routing, permissions and failure recovery. Specify who receives each inquiry and how you verify delivery.
- Editing needs: choose a platform your team can maintain. Ask which changes are editable, what training is included and who owns accounts and source files.
- Integrations and review: accounting portals, recruitment platforms, accessibility requirements and multiple approvers affect scope. Describe these before accepting a price.
Budget for the period after launch
Compare the launch project and ongoing services separately. Domain renewal, hosting, premium software, maintenance, content updates and security responsibilities continue after the design work ends. Ask who monitors failures, how urgent fixes are handled and which updates require a new quote.
A website project is also different from an SEO engagement. Branddirr's local SEO package starts at USD 800 per month, while growth SEO starts at USD 1,500 per month. AEO baseline audits start at USD 1,200 once. Bundled retainers have broader scopes and different fees; they should not be presented as the cost of a brochure website.
What to put in a comparable quote request
- List distinct services and buyer groups, current URLs that matter and the person who approves each claim.
- Provide approved copy and images, or identify which content must be produced and reviewed.
- State the inquiry destination, required integrations and whether visitors need a verified call booking.
- Ask for deliverables, exclusions, timeline dependencies, support period, account ownership and handover.
- Agree what a useful inquiry means. Use that definition to review the website after launch rather than relying on appearance or traffic alone.
